Weekend in the countryside

I've gotten so much wear out of this skirt & these flats. I find some flats can be actually uncomfortable as they have no support but these flats in particularly comfy. We were down the country when we snapped these pictures. There was no television and the internet signal was very poor. It was refreshing to unwind and disconnect. Thinking of it just makes me want to go back soon.

Baby Blue Blouse

Literally took these pictures as I was running out the door to work so when I say this is a quick outfit post, I really mean it. Added a little red lippy later in the day when I got a few minutes. I had bought a baby blue cardigan at christmas and fell in love with the colour, only for it to get ruined in the wash after two washes. Since then I was keeping an eye out for another baby blue item to add to my wardrobe. By the way, I'm getting lots of wear out of these pants as they are great for work paired with a simple jumper or blouse, plus you can easily change from flats to high heels as I often do.

It's All Roses

Doesn't this outfit just scream Valentines!? Yes, this is what I wore Valentines weekend. I love the rose print on this dress. I actually bought it a few years ago. It was one of those dresses that was much nicer on than it looked on the hanger. I was originally going to pair this dress with a black coat but with it being Valentines, I thought why not go all out and pair it with a pastel pink coat I recently bought. A little OTT but that's the fun in it. With pink being a key colour for spring, I hope to get lots of wear out of this coat.

Tribal Skirt

This is one of those unplanned outfits thrown together in a hurry. I was adamant I was wearing tights that evening. I couldn't bare the thought of even a few minutes with bare legs it was so cold. Hopefully I can get my legs out soon when it gets warmer. Roll on the summer I say.

Varsity Influence

After admiring very plain baseball jackets for a while, I had it in mind to keep an eye out for one. One in particular I had seen on Olivia Palermo herself was out of my price range and although baseball jackets were easy to find, very plain ones weren't, especially at high street prices. This little gem I found while looking for jeans and converse. That's always the way isn't it. You find something when you're not looking for it. I have to admit, my brother joked that me and the boyfriend must be official now that he gave me his letterman jacket. I couldn't help but laugh but I still love it.

Day for a Hat

While considering what I should wear to a friends wedding in February, I looked up photos of outfits I wore to previous weddings. Suddenly I realized I forgot to show you this dress I wore a few months back before Autumn kicked in. I hadn't worn a hat before so thought it would be fun to wear one. I want my look to be different for the wedding next month. Time to play dress up I think. No better time than the weekend.

Enjoying Nature

Enjoyed going for a two strolls with the dogs this day on opposite sides of the city. That's the great thing about Dublin, you're so close to city life yet not far from nature.
Typical Ollie, always makes a beeline for puddles of water and ends up completely mucky. He's like my very own mini Beethoven, always up to no good. Love him to bits though. Trying to teach him not to pull on the lead. Any suggestions?

Reunited for a while

I know everyone was probably rocking the fur all winter but mine was tucked away in my old wardrobe in my parents. In truth, I just can't fit all my clothes in my apartment and coats and jackets seem to take up a lot of room due to their bulky nature. As a result, I tend to keep half of them in my old room at the family home and every so often, swap them out bringing old ones over when I feel like a change. So glad to be reunited with my faux fur jacket.  Makes me wonder though, is anyone else like this with clothes storing them in their family home?

2013 At A Glimpse

I partly can't believe 2014 is here already but am so excited for the year ahead. 2013 went by so quickly  but I can honestly say I had a great year and feel like I've grown a lot as a person. I welcome the new year with open arms and would like to wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous year ahead. Here's a little recap of some outfits from 2013.

Cosy in Neutrals

I really wanted to be cosy the day I wore this outfit so flats,a knit and a very warm coat were the ideal choice. You may recognise the coat from this post. I got the jumper just recently. I wanted a jumper that was fun, that screamed winter and yet wasn't a Christmas jumper and when I saw this one, I went straight for it. The polo bear on it actually reminds me of the Coca Cola Christmas advertisement. Do you know the one I'm thinking of? Speaking of Christmas advertisements, have you seen the one for John Lewis one this year? y heart just melted when I saw it. If you haven't seen it, I advise you to check it out.

Finished with a Bow

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. Hard to believe we are nearly into a new year. Quickest year ever. I recently had the opportunity to wear  a dress that has been sitting in the back of my wardrobe. You may remember it from this post. It's very dressy, a little too dressy for an average weekend so when I was invited to a winter wedding I thought it was the ideal opportunity. I think my favourite feature is the giant bow at the back. It just makes it extra girly and gives it that finishing touch. Unfortunately, disaster struck for me that day. After carefully styling my hair, I had the short journey of walking to and from my car in the stormiest of weather which left my hair looking neither straight or with wavey curls but what could only be described as utterly wind swept. Upon reaching the venue   and booking into our room, I had a whole 5 minutes to fix my hair. The man friends hair remained the same as before he left home. I guess that's all part of the joys of being a girl. Also, I went a little darker with my hair recently. At first, it was a bit of a shock as I'm not particularly adventurous with my hair but I've gotten used to it. It's probably the closest I could get to my natural colour.
